Medical and Dental Coverage
Washington Federal’s Group Health plan includes both medical and dental coverage. All full-time employees, and their eligible dependents, are eligible to participate on the first of the month following 90 days of full-time employment. The cost of the monthly medical premium is shared by the company and the employee. The cost of the dental coverage is paid in full by the Bank. Details vary per plan.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Washington Federal’s FSA plan provides full-time employees with the opportunity to pay for qualified benefits with pre-tax dollars.

Basic Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
Washington Federal provides its full-time employees with life insurance equal to their annual salary. The AD&D policy pays a benefit to a chosen beneficiary in the event of an accident resulting in the death or dismemberment of the covered employee. The premiums for these coverages are paid in full by the Bank.

Long-Term Disability
Washington Federal pays 100% of the premium for Long-Term Disability Insurance. This plan has a 90-day elimination period.

Voluntary Life Insurance
Washington Federal provides its full-time employees with the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance coverage for themselves, as well as their eligible dependents. This insurance is paid for by the employee via payroll deduction.

401(k) Plan
Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the Bank’s 401(k) plan on the 1st of the month following 90 days of full-time employment. Employees may contribute up to 20% of their earnings under the plan. The Bank will match 100% of employee contributions up to 5% after one year of service.

Holidays
The Bank observes the standard Federal Reserve Bank holidays.

Vacation
Washington Federal provides its full-time employees with paid vacation time. Vacation time begins to accrue after 90 days of full-time employment. The length of vacation is based on years of service.
